A response to your enquiry, then a reserved your place in commission order book (especially important for Christmas Commissions) or send a detailed quote based on your instructions confirming deadline, price, medium and size.

You can use the contact form to send reference photos. Please feel free to send as many as you like as it is always helpful to see the subject from different angles and in different lighting etc.

You can also send your subject photo or photos as jpegs to email address: slyshowoff@aol.com if you prefer.

All will be discussed about your commission before starting work on your order to ensure that there is as much information as possible gathered.

A formal quote will be emailed to you which will list all the important information including size, medium, composition required and deadline. When you have accepted the quote, your portrait will be added to commissions list.

Artwork usually takes around three weeks but this may be longer during busy times of year. Usually, your date can be accommodated. Let us know your deadline when you get in touch.

When the portrait is finished, an email is sent to you and the balance will be charged, plus shipping or additional fees and your PAID invoice is sent for our records.

When payment has been received your portrait will shipped via UPS. This service is trackable and insured and your artwork will be with you within ground delivery time frame shipping from Delaware to your selected delivery address. Expedited delivery is available upon request.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required. Balance plus standard Ground shipping or added framing charge, will be processed on your credit card used for deposit when your portrait is complete. A Paid invoice will be emailed for your records.

Refunds are only available on commissions not started due to work load or provided information not sufficient enough to do the work. Finished or portraits in progress will not be refunded.

Generally, at least 3 weeks. Though depending on size, medium or current work log determines time frame. Not being able to make a desired in hand date will not cancel or refund a commission.

Send your reference photos by attaching them when you fill in Portrait Consult form. Send only high-quality images. If you are unsure of quality send anyway and you will be contacted if any are not useable and request for new one will be sent.

The quality and detail in the reference photo is very important as it will be used to give all the information needed. The more detail, the better the final portrait will look. You can send as many as 6 reference photos. A required min. of 3, whether the photo or photos are suitable to use and which would make the best portrait.

The types of digital file that you can upload are: jpeg, png or jpg.

Only Digital portraits may contain backgrounds or people. Hand drawn or painted portraits will be Subject only. Watercolor & Pencil portraits do not have any type of color background. Acyrlic portraits will have a pleasing color added if needed or left as canvas.

You can have multiple subjects in your portrait. The reference photos of the subjects need to be fairly similar in both lighting (ie both taken in outside in sunshine or inside using flash photography) and quality.  Depending on detail there may be an upcharge. This will be quoted during portrait consult once images are submitted for reference.

You may submit professional images for your portrait. If the image has the word PROOF on it or watermarked, it will not be accepted to use as this would indicate the photo was not purchased.  As most photographers will supply you a high-resolution image when purchased and the watermark will not be on it. No images with watermarks are accepted to use.

Framing is available upon request. An Additional fee would be involved and would be quoted. We use a local frame shop and the fee would be their fee charged. Once your portrait consult is initially made, we can get you a quote of this fee based on type of portrait and size determined. This fee would be charged in your final portrait balance if you wish to have us have it framed for you.

As digital Art portraits will vary in look & style. A desired exact outcome is not available. Your Photo will be rendered using one of our many effects in our digital editing program. For this type of portrait will submit up to 3 proofs for your approval. Up to 6 versions will be supplied. Over 6 renders will have an additional fee of $55 per additional render requested.

A professional print or printed mounted Canvas is available of your original portrait upon request. A quote for this additional service will be included in your portrait quote.
